Chemically synthesized from high-quality, high-purity refined raw materials, pearlescent diester EGDS, the chemical composition is ethylene glycol distearate, also called ethylene glycol stearic acid diester or stearic acid ethylene glycol diester.

Performance and use

MT-EGDS is insoluble in water, soluble in hot ethanol, toluene, soybean oil, mineral oil, compatible with most surfactants, and stable in a wide pH range.

MT-EGDS is dissolved or emulsified after heating in the surfactant complex, and lens-shaped crystals are precipitated during the cooling process, producing a pearlescent luster.

MT-EGDS is used as a pearlescent agent, sunscreen, thickener, emulsifier, and viscosity regulator in detergents, shampoos, balms, and conditioners, which can make the liquid present a soft and rich pearl luster.

MT-EGDS has the effects of moisturizing the skin, nourishing the hair, and antistatic in liquid washing products. It is non-irritating to the skin and non-damaging to the hair.

MT-EGDS is suitable for cosmetics such as shampoo, bath gel, lotion, and liquid detergent.

MT-EGDS can be used as a metal processing lubricant, fiber lubricant and softener, solubilizer, defoamer, and antistatic agent.

MT-EGDS can also be used as a pearlescent dispersant in the production of ointments and disinfection and sterilization liquids.

MT-EGDS needs to be hot-mixed when used. If cold-mixed, the pearlescent flakes need to be prepared into pearlescent slurry in advance.

Packaging and storage

20kg or 25kg/bag, composite plastic-lined kraft paper bag. Store in a cool and dry place. Shelf life is one year.
