N-methylpyrrolidone

Introduction

STD N-methylpyrrolidone, also known as 1-methyl 2-pyrrolidone, referred to as NMP, is a polar aprotic solvent with high boiling point, strong polarity, low viscosity, strong dissolving power, no corrosion, low toxicity, strong biodegradability, low volatility, excellent chemical stability and thermal stability. It is mainly used in many industries such as petrochemicals, plastics industry, pharmaceuticals, pesticides, dyes and lithium-ion battery manufacturing. It is widely used in aromatic extraction, purification of acetylene, olefins and dienes, as well as solvents for polymers and media for polymerization reactions, such as engineering plastics such as polyamide, polyimide, polyphenylene sulfide and aramid fibers. It is also used in insulating materials, pesticides, pigments, electronic product production and cleaning agents.

Properties

Colorless, transparent, oily liquid with a slight amine smell, inactive chemical properties, relatively stable in neutral solutions, and hydrolyzed in strong acidic or alkaline environments.

Micro-electrochemical grade

Mainly used in high-end electronic industries such as liquid crystals and semiconductors

Electronic grade

Mainly used in lithium electronics, fiber and other industries

Pharmaceutical grade

Mainly used in pharmaceutical solvents, intermediates and other industries

Industrial grade

Mainly used in petrochemical extraction, pesticides, insulating paints and cleaning industries

Packaging

Packaging uses plastic-lined iron barrels, net weight of each barrel is 200 ± 0.5 kg or 1000L ton barrels, net weight of each barrel is 1000 ± 2.5 kg
