Various monohydric alcohols and other terpene derivatives, of which α-alcohol is the main one.

Properties:

Light yellow oily liquid, density ρ20​≈0.90g/ml, slightly soluble in water.

Use:

Widely used in flotation operations, mainly used for the flotation of various sulfide ores such as copper, lead, zinc, and iron ore, as well as various non-sulfur ores. It also has a certain collection capacity, especially for talc, sulfur, graphite, molybdenite, and coal, and other easy-to-float minerals. The foam of pine oil is more stable than that of other foaming agents.

Note:
